So have you ever seen anyone drive into a dark tunnel and not see them come out the other side.   When was the last time you drove into a tunnel pulled over and turned off your engine and said It is dark and I cant see well so I am going to stay right here.  No you drive through.  Yes it is dark and sometimes hard to see where the end is but we keep going we stay the course and we see the light at the end and before we know it we are out and back on our journey.

Discouragement can feel like that tunnel.   Dark and cold and like it wont end.  Yet, we can’t let it derail us and knock us off course.  We have a destination and a purpose and if we keep pulling over the longer it will take us to get to our destination.

What are tunnels?

A tunnel is an underground passageway, dug through the surrounding soil/earth/rock and enclosed except for entrance and exit, commonly at each end.
The architect has made sure that the tunnel will be able to withstand  the pressure and weight of the existing obstruction.   We trust as we drive through that The engineer has already prepared and tested the tunnel.
God our engineer has made ways for us to get through any mountain that gets in our way but as humans we see dark and scary instead of a way through our problem.   Trusting is how we keep going during the most confusing and dark times in our lives.
The bible says …
The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
Psalm 121:7 NIV
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.
Isaiah 42:16 NIV
Let’s keep our foot on the gas and hands on the wheel and stay the course that’s in front of us.   GOD HAS MADE A WAY!
